I chose this article because throughout the semester when we had peer workshops, I would always turn to this journal beforehand to help me. We had never done peer workshopping like this in high school, so it was an eye opener to see that peer workshopping can be more than just correcting someone's grammar. The comments at the bottom of the journal that Ms.Camargo gave us also helped me with working with other people's papers when I got stuck on how to say they needed to fix something.

I chose this article becuase it is my feelings after having our first peer workshop. This journal entry gives my feelings on how the first peer workshop went. It is cool to see the journal before the peer workshops and then this journal, after peer workshops. I also brainstormed a little about what I thought I needed to change in the paper we worked on in the peer workshop.
This was kind of a short journal. I did not know it at the time, but the "Why I Write" would be a repeating factor in my papers to come throughout the semester. I even looked back at this same journal entry while writing my final writer's reflection. I used a couple of my sentences from this journal and even the same quote from the article as seen above.
After reading, "The Five-Paragraph Essay" atricle, was the first time I knew that this English class would be different from all the other English classes I have had in the past. This was the first time I realized that I would have a little more freedom with my writing in college. I was not as scared for the writing we had to come in the semester. I think that you can see how every journal I have written plays a role in the papers I have written this semester.
